Walking...

I just love walking. It makes me feel healthier, and it is so good for your body. Walking for just 30 minutes a day can do so much for your health!

I went for a walk today because it was our first nice day out for a while. It was really nice except for the occasional mosquito. Having the cool breeze blowing on me, with the sun shining on me, was wonderful. It's so nice to be out in the country, and just look around you at the beauty that surrounds you. Hearing the cows moo in the distance, and the geese flying over you. Walking down the road and see your awesome neighbors drive down and stop to say hello.

I love it out here. It's amazing to think that God created all of this. To think that it's mine to see every day that I want to. I love taking a walk on a beautiful day and just looking around at everything that surrounds me.

I tried to take a picture with my phone to show you guys how beautiful it is, but it decided to freeze on me.

Happy New Year

I am so excited about this new year. I really don't know why I am so excited, but I am. Maybe it's because there are SO many things that could happen this year. I should be graduating school, we should be buying a house, vacations, just spending time with friends and family. It all excites me.
The one thing I am most excited about is getting closer to God. This past year was definitely a turning point in my life, even 2008. I am becoming more involved in church, and that really excites me. I have wanted to start singing again so bad, and now I am! And our worship leader is just amazing. I am so excited about where the team is going, and where the church is going!
I think the one thing that scares me is the unknown. There are so many changes that have started already, it's crazy! Chad is now unemployed, and I am still unemployed. It will be an interesting first half to this year, but I know it is going to be GREAT! God will provide, and that is what I put my trust in.
This year, is going to be great. I wish that you have a wonderful, prosperous year.

Veteran's Day

In honor of Veteran's Day I want to make a blog to say Thank You to all of our veterans. Whether you're retired, or active duty, or served only a few years...Thank You! I am especially thankful for my Dad, and my husband! My dad was drafted in Vietnam, and my husband is currently Texas National Guard and has served 2 tours in Iraq. He was previously active duty.

I also want to mention that I am still praying for everyone at Ft. Hood. I can only imagine how tough today is for everyone up there.

Please make sure you make it a point to say Thank You to a veteran today. Even if they seem like they don't like it, deep down, they appreciate it.

Thank You

Praying for those in and around Ft. Hood

I just wanted to say that I am praying for everyone in and around Ft. Hood. It is so hard to grasp the terror that happened there today.

Being an Army wife who's husband was stationed at Ft. Hood a few years ago, I can only imagine how scared everyone is. It was hard seeing all the pictures of buildings I recognized.

I pray for peace and healing for the families who lost loved ones, and a fast recovery for the injuried.
